Foyer Space
Foyer, Scott Building, Plymouth University
Monday 12 to Friday 16 March 2012
The week-long residency allowed me to develop ideas about matrilineage through my practice as an artist film-maker I created an installation In the space, which evolved over the first four days, and gave a durational performance from 10am to 4pm on the final day. The project was part of the Research Conversations initiative, a series of exhibitions and presentations of research by creative practitioners who had received support from the Centre for Media, Art and Design Research (MADr) at Plymouth University, curated by Liz Nicol.

I presented a paper STITCH in process: a reflection on practice-as-research to the Land/Water and the Visual Arts research group, postgraduate studio, room 114, Scott Building, 4pm - 5pm Wednesday 14 March 2012.

The film These Restless Hands was also created during the residency, and was part of the Manifestations of Place exhibition of postgraduate research by Lu La Buzz, Gabrielle Llewellin, Kayla Parker, and Yan Preston, in the second floor corridor of the Scott Building from Wednesday 14 to Friday 23 March, open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm. Private view: 5pm Wednesday 14 March 2012, following my Land/Water talk.

Thanks: Roberta Mock, Stuart Moore, Liz Nicol, Jonni Parker, Liz Wells
